What would you want to know about Panama Papers?

What would you ask the investigative journalists who disclosed information on more than 200,000 firms based in Panama and other offshore tax havens? You can send your questions to Petr Ježek who will on September 27 participate in a public hearing with the journalists in the PANA committee of the European Parliament where he is one of its two rapporteurs.

Among the journalists that will appear before the committee will be Frederic Obemaier from the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung which was the first to publish the information about the scandal, and who co-authored the book The Panama Papers: Breaking the Story of How the Rich and Powerful Hide Their Money.

The special PANA committee was established in June in the aftermath of the scandal. Its main task is to review the activities of EU institutions and member states in the areas of money laundering, tax avoidance and tax evasion, and to analyze potential loopholes in EU law. Given its mandate, the commitee will certainly look into the information released in the Bahama Leaks as well.

You send your questions to Petr Ježek in replying to his tweet or via his website.
